Full Moon in Sagittarius

Full Moon in Sagittarius
5/26/21 4:14 AM Pacific
Natural Chart / Whole Houses
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon occupy the same degree of opposite signs of the zodiac. As you can see from the chart above, the Moon is at 5° Sagittarius and the Sun is at 5° Gemini forming an opposition creating a dynamic of challenging one another; something is being split or divided.
How to Work with Full Moon in Sagittarius Energy
  • Get out of your comfort zone
  • Practice being more honest with yourself and others.
  • Be more independent (think and do for yourself!)
  • As much as you are able, engage in travel (even if it is an unfamiliar part of your city)
  • Explore a culture, religion, belief, or philosophy outside your own (respectfully)
  • Read up on a subject that you are interested in but have little knowledge of.
  • Try some "foreign" food.
  • Get some physical exercise; go for a walk, jog, or run
  • Take a risk
  • Adopt a more optimistic attitude about life.
Full Moon in Sagittarius (General)
Gemini is all about my vicinity, my neighborhood, my community, my culture. Sagittarius on the other hand is about foreign people and cultures. So there is a dynamic here of a divide between "us and them" or the "familiar vs. the unfamiliar". This is a dynamic that we will see play out in the world at large, and in our personal lives. We can see this dynamic play out by watching the news and seeing events take place in the lives of our friends and associations on social media.
During the Full Sagittarius Moon in 2019 a movement, believed to be associated with White Supremacy, was set in motion to initiate a Straight Pride Parade. This created a divide on both sides with gay people questioning the need for such a parade and straight people wanting to honor their own sexuality.
Last year around this time, police office Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd while being arrested for suspicion of having used a counterfeit $20.00 bill to make a purchase - a claim which has since been disproven. With the trail of Derek Chauvin resulting in a guilty verdict and his sentence presently scheduled for June 16th, we can expect to see attempts to widen the divide between "us and them"
To understand how the Full Moon in Sagittarius will affect you, you need to look at where Sagittarius and Gemini fall in your natal chart.
  • If Aries is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 9th House.
  • If Taurus is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 8th House.
  • If Gemini is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 7th House.
  • If Cancer is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 6th House.
  • If Leo is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 5th House.
  • If Virgo is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 4th House.
  • If Libra is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 3rd House.
  • If Scorpio is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 2nd House.
  • If Sagittarius is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 1st House.
  • If Capricorn is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 12th House
  • If Pisces is your Ascendant, then Sagittarius is your 11th House.
For example, in my birth chart Sagittarius is in the second house of my resources and personal values and Gemini is in the 8th house of shared resources. Additionally, the 8th house is associated with transformation and change, while the 2nd house likes things to stay as they are. So for me there is a divide between my resources and resources shared with others; someone or something is trying to make me change but I want things to stay as they are.
Aspects
Let us suppose that, like me, you have Natal Neptune at 4° Sagittarius. This means that the Full Moon is separating a conjunction to my natal Neptune. Under this aspect, you are more emotionally sensitive and can be prone to deception by others (or you can deceive yourself in unhealthy ways). This can be a time when you find engaging in more escapist behavior such as daydreaming or getting lost in a movie or book in order to avoid uncomfortable feelings.
Where does the full moon in 5° Sagittarius fall in your chart and how will it manifest for you?

Saturn Retrograde 2021

Saturn Retrograde

5/23/2021  2:21 AM (PDT)

Natural Chart / Whole Houses

What Does Retrograde Mean?

A planet is retrograde when it appears to move backwards across the cosmos from our perspective on Earth. We mostly hear about retrograde in relation to Mercury which occurs three times a year and last for roughly three weeks each time. Generally speaking, retrograde are times of REsearchREviewREvisionREconsideration, and REevaluation relating to the urges or energies of the planet in question.

Saturn Retrograde in Aquarius

May 23rd 2021 to October 10th, 2021

Saturn Retrograde begins in 13° Aquarius. Saturn is the planet that seeks out structure and stability. He is all about discipline and order. With Saturn in Retrograde you can expect delays in any effort to grow on your part --- or the part of others for that matter. Such delays teach us patience and gives us the opportunity to review any changes we would like to make. This is a good time to review our long-term goals for the future and any plans we may have for success and achievement. Trying to move forward now can actually make us fall behind.

Saturn Retrograde & You

Saturn Retrograde brings the opportunity for us to redefinerestructure, or reorganize some area of our life in some way. The house where Aquarius falls in your natal, or birth, chart is the area of life where these opportunities and lessons will be presented to you. When Saturn stations direct again, it is time to apply what your learned to your life.

To better understand how Saturn Retrograde will affect you, look to the house that Aquarius and Capricorn occupy in your birth chart and check if Saturn makes any aspects to your natal planets.

  • If your rising sign is Aries, Aquarius is your 11th House
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Aquarius is your 10th House
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Aquarius is your 9th House
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Aquarius is your 8th House
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Aquarius is your 7th House
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Aquarius is your 6th House
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Aquarius is your 5th House
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Aquarius is your 4th House
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Aquarius is your 3rd House
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Aquarius is your 2nd House
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Aquarius is your 1st House
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Aquarius is your 12th House

The 12 Areas of Life

  1. self, outlook, persona, appearance, outward behavior, "mask", individuality, vitality.
  2. money, material things, possessions, values, security, resources, self-worth, how you make money.
  3. conscious mind, near environment, short journeys, communication, self-expression, how you learn.
  4. home, roots, mother, traditions, subconscious, where you live, property, early life conditions.
  5. self-expression, creativity, pleasure, what you love, hobbies, talents, need for attention.
  6. employment, work, co-workers, working conditions, health, routine, health, diet, hygiene, service to others.
  7. marriage, agreements, partnerships, relationships, close associates, open enemies, peers, contracts.
  8. sex, death, birth, transformation, shared resources, spirituality
  9. higher education, ethics, travel, foreign people and places, religion, publishing, media, internet
  10. career, ambition, profession, public reputation, status, responsibilities, authority figures, father.
  11. hopes, dreams, wishes, ideals, goals, associates, acquaintances, groups, friends, humanitarianism
  12. subconscious mind, unseen or hidden matters, secrets, fears, hidden enemies, spirituality, withdrawal.

Aspects

  • Any planets within +/- 3°  of 13° Capricorn  will form a conjunction
  • Any planets within +/- 3°  of 13° Pisces or Scorpio will form a sextile
  • Any planets within +/- 3°  of 13° Aries or Libra will form a square
  • Any planets within +/- 3°  of 13°  Taurus or Virgo will form a trine
  • Any planets within +/- 3°  of 13° Cancer will form an opposition.

Example

Saturn Retrograde in Aquarius and the 4th House

In my chart, I have Saturn Retrograde in Aquarius and the 4th house can be difficult. Aquarius represents the future and the unknown, while the 4th house is related to the past and your roots. For the person with Saturn Retrograde in Aquarius and the 4th house, you may find yourself torn between the future and the past. Before you can move forwards, you may need to revisit your past, your family, and your roots to build up your foundation.

Saturn Retrograde is also making a square, hard aspect, to my natal Mars. Under this aspect, you can experiences blockages that result in bouts of anger. You may feel like other people are trying to stop you from doing something and so you lash out and make things worse for yourself.

How will Saturn Retrograde manifest for you?

Sun in Gemini 2021

Sun in Gemini
5/20/21  12:37 AM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Sun in Gemini (General)

The Sun in Gemini (General)

When the Sun is in Gemini people are more thoughtful and communicative. The mind is more active and full of many thoughts and ideas. People, in general, want to have more conversations with other people. Since Gemini is ruled by Mercury these conversations can be in person, by snail mail, over the telephone, by text, or by email. People are more curious and interested in many different things and subjects. They may start several projects which they fail to complete. For this reason, it is better to only tackle small, relatively easy goals to complete rather than long term goals.

The house that Gemini occupies in your Natal Chart is the area of life that you will be more thoughtful, curious and indecisive about.

  • If your rising sign is Aries, Gemini is your 3rd House.
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Gemini is your 2nd House.
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Gemini is your 1st House.
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Gemini is your 12th House.
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Gemini is your 11th House.
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Gemini is your 10th House.
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Gemini is your 9th House.
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Gemini is your 8th House.
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Gemini is your 7th House.
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Gemini is your 6th House.
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Gemini is your 5th House.
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Gemini is your 4th House.

Example

The Sun in Gemini and the 8th House

I am thoughtful, curious, and indecisive about transformation, shared resources and spirituality.

Your core identity expresses itself now as curious, witty, and inconsistent and this manifest mostly in the area of mystery, sexuality, death & rebirth. You shift your focus to self-transformation stressing self-improvement of some kind. Outwardly you are more reflective and brooding. You're emotions can fluctuate between extremes.

Aspects

Aspects are another dimension of astrological interpretation that should be considered. For instance, let us suppose that you have Jupiter at 2° Aquarius, then that would mean that Transit Sun is making a trine to Natal Jupiter. A trine is a type of aspect in which the energy or urge of one planet is supportive of the energy or urge of another planet. When the Transit Sun makes a Trine to your Natal Jupiter you're more optimistic and enjoy an overall feeling of well being. You can use this energy to improve your life in some way and get people to like you and help you obtain your goals.

Mercury Retrograde May / June 2020

Pictured: Stages of Mercury Retrograde in Gemini (All Times Pacific)

I am in the spirit of God and the spirit of God is in me. Therefore, everything that it true of God is true of me. My mind, body, and spirit are in complete harmony with the rhythm of the universe.  There is no relationship or eventuality for which I am not prepared to experience in a positive and healthy manner and from which I may learn and grow. I will meet the challenges before me with patience and the understanding that everything is temporary. Thank you God-in-Me for peace and harmony. And so it is. “
-----------Affirmative Prayer for Mercury Retrograde, Carolina Dean
What is Mercury Retrograde ?
Mercury Retrograde is a term that you have probably heard before but aren't sure exactly what it means. During periods of retrograde, a planet appears to move backwards from its normal trek around the sun. Those areas of life governed by the planet tend to suffer setbacks and breakdowns. There are many retrogrades including Mars Retrograde, Venus Retrograde, Jupiter Retrograde, in fact all the planets turn retrograde at some point. However, Mercury Retrograde is arguably the one you hear about most often.
Mercury is believed to rule communication and travel and so during a Mercury-Retrograde it is common for breakdowns in communication and interruption of travel plans to occur. People become short-tempered, computers break down, get viruses, cars and other vehicles may breakdown, flat tires may occur, communication slows or grinds to a halt, etc.....
The Pre-Shadow is when we can begin to see Mercury start slowing down and this is where we will begin to feel the beginning of Mercury Retrograde. This period of time can be marked by errors in communication, travel, and electronics. These are just general events that usually occur during periods of Mercury Retrograde. The Sign or Signs that Mercury RX occurs in also influences events that occur during Mercury RX.
The Pre-Shadow begins in Gemini, which is ruled by Mercury so this Mercury Retrograde will be stronger. Gemini is associated with communication, siblings and short journeys. This transit can bring about a busy mind preoccupied with many, often contradictory thoughts. Increased worry and a nervous condition may result. You spend a lot of time working through your thoughts and may not have all the information needed to resolve any issues related to the mind. Since this house rules over travel, you may experience setbacks with regards to your mode of travel. Now is a good time to check your car battery, get your oil changed, or schedule a tune up. Communications also suffer so many sure your computer is backed up and your antivirus software is up to date. With interpersonal communications make sure you slow down and listen more than you talk and make sure you fully understand other people before assuming anything that is not said outright.
To figure out exactly how Mercury Retrograde will affect you on a personal, individual level, you will need to see what natal house your Gemini is in. The area of life represented by that house is the area of your life that will most be affected by Mercury Retrograde. Essentially, those events that occur during the Pre-Shadow will frame your experiences during the retrograde phase. These experiences are believed to be necessary for our own personal growth and soul-evolvement. At the end of the Pre-Shadow, Mercury will come to a complete stop and 24° Gemini and sit there for about four days before moving gain.
The Retrograde period is when Mercury starts moving again, only from our perspective on Earth it will appear to be moving backwards across the zodiac.  It is during this period that we will most strongly feel the effects of Mercury Retrograde. Generally speaking, we can expect communication, travel, and electronics to go all wonky on us.  During Mercury Retrograde, we refrained from making any major decisions or changes. Instead, we are told to RE-lax, RE-evaluate, RE-assess our issues and conditions. On a personal level, this is where we confront the issues of Mercury Retrograde that were hinted at or started forming during the Pre-Shadow period. Towards the end of this retrograde period, Mercury will begin to slow down again before coming to a full stop at 16° Gemini. It will set there for a few days before it starts moving forward again.
Mercury is said to Station Direct when it starts moving forward again. This is the period when many people feel like they can start breathing again (metaphorically speaking). They hear Mercury Direct and think that it’s over. But that is not the case. Mercury Stationing Direct is really the beginning of the Post-Shadow period.
Finally, we experience the Post-Shadow. This is the period between the time Mercury stations direct and it reaches the point where it initially began to slow down in the first place. Just like when you get in your car to drive somewhere, your speed is not constant. The speed of your vehicle is constantly shifting, slowing down, stopping, and speeding up again. In like fashion, Mercury's speed is not constant. Mercury usually moves at about 2 degrees per day, however, during the post shadow period is may move only about 1 degree (or less) per day and will pick up speed as the days go forward.
The post-shadow period of Mercury Retrograde is characterized as a period in which those issues raised during Mercury Retrograde are still present but may be winding down, that is, they are still present but not as intense as before. During this post shadow phase is where we take what we learned during Mercury Retrograde and apply that knowledge to re-dress and re-solve those issues and conditions that were raised during Mercury Retrograde.

Jupiter in Pisces 2021

Jupiter in Pisces

5/13/21  3:35 PM  (Pacific)

Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Jupiter in a Nutshell

Jupiter is one two Social Planets (the other being Saturn) Social Planets  are further from the earth and the last ones that can be seen with the naked eye. For this reason they move slower and so transits of these planets don't occur as often as the Personal Planets. Social Planets represent themes with which we are confronted with in life but which rise above the individual experience. That is not to say, however, they the energies of the Social planets don't have a personal meaning in our charts.

Jupiter's mantra is I Expand and it represents potential, talent, and luck as well as areas of ease where you can grow, and expand. Some keywords associated with Jupiter include but are not limited to the following: expansion, abundance, chance, cheerful, education, faith, gambling, growth, hope, luck, optimism, philosophy, religion, truth-seeker, success, wisdom, benevolent, broad-minded, generous, sporting, jovial, big.

General Jupiter in Pisces - I Grow Compassionate

When Jupiter (I expand) is in Pisces (I Believe) people are generally more sensitive, compassionate, introverted, romantic, artistic, and creative.  This is a good time to let go of negative patterns of thought and behavior. Spirituality becomes more important under this transit and people are more willing to push past the boundaries of what holds them back. They are also more sympathetic and understanding of others  and are more willing to help them - but only in such a way that they do not draw too much (if any) attention to themselves. When Jupiter is in Pisces you can see an increase in anonymous acts of charity.

The house that Jupiter in Pisces is transiting in your birth chart represents the area of life in which you will feel this transit most strongly.

  • If your rising sign is Aries, Pisces is your 12th House
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Pisces is your 11th House
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Pisces is your 10th House
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Pisces is your 9th House
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Pisces is your 8th House
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Pisces is your 7th House
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Pisces is your 6th House
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Pisces is your 5th House
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Pisces is your 4th House
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Pisces is your 3rd House
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Pisces is your 2nd House
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Pisces is your 1st House

Example

Jupiter + Pisces + The 5th House

I Grow + I Believe + Love, Children, and Creative

When Jupiter is in Pisces and the 5th house of love, children, and creativity you become more in touch with your inner child. Imagination, intuition, and creativity increase and you are inspired to create something, express yourself, and have fun. You are more willing to be push past a natural tendency to be introverted so that you can be more sociable. This could be a a time when you meet someone special in terms of love and romance.

Aspects

Aspects, or relationships between planets is another dimension of astrological interpretation that should be examined. Looking at my own chart, Jupiter at 0° Pisces is making soft aspects to my Natal Moon, Venus, Saturn, and Ascendant; and a hard aspect to my natal Neptune. Soft aspects represents areas of ease and comfort whereas hard aspects represent difficulties to overcome. All of these aspects deserve to be examined further, but for the purpose of this entry I am going to focus on the tightest aspects. Remember the closer, or tighter, and aspect is to exact the stronger and more powerful it is believed to be.

Although it is separating (or moving further away) the tightest aspect in my chart for this transit is transit Jupiter Sextile my Natal Moon. Under this aspect opportunities to do more and be more are presented to you. This could be the beginning of BIG things in your life and you can expand your horizons now. You're more persuasive now and can really rally other people to get behind you and help you with your dreams and goals.

How will the ingress of Jupiter into Pisces manifest for you?
