When the New Moon is in Sagittarius people are generally more outspoken, kinder, and more generous, social, and well-humored.  People are fond of change now and so they can be more restless than usual. They may also feel a strong urge to travel, to see new people and to do new things. A New Moon brings new opportunities and a New Moon in Sagittarius brings new opportunities to broaden your mind and expand your horizons through exploring new places, or meeting new people. People are generally more adventurous and willing to take more chances.  A renewed interest in spirituality may also be a result of the new moon in Sagittarius.     

How to Work with New Moon in Sagittarius Energy

• Practice being more honest with yourself and others. 
• Be more independent (think and do for yourself!)

When Mercury, planet of the mind, is in Sagittarius, the sign of higher education people are more interested in expanding the mind through education, philosophy and travel.  Sagittarius represents the archetype of the adventurer, so this more about learning through experience rather than through books. People may turn to some form of writing as well and so with the end of the current year and the beginning of the new year right around the corner this is a good time to review one's accomplishments in 2020 and think about what their goals and aspirations for 2021. You can imagine big things for yourself now and develop a plan for making them so.

Aspects, or relationships between planets, is another dimensions of chart interpretation that is important to consider. If you have any planets of positions near 0° Sagittarius then they may form aspects to Mercury. For example. in my own chart transit Mercury at 0° Sagittarius is separating a sextile to Neptune in 2° Aquarius.  A sextile is a type of aspect that represents compatibility and cooperation, so a sextile between Mercury and Neptune indicates the mind and perception are working in harmony.  Intuition could be sharper, and you can communicate what you are sensing better now.  You're more in tune with your sense of compassion so you're more willing to forgive others. You're more romantic and dreamy.

When Venus is in Sagittarius people are more outgoing and optimistic. They can be restless, impatient, and sometimes intolerant.  Generally speaking, people are apt to like things that are foreign (people, places, cultures, etc...).  They love to learn about new people, new places, and new will invest in have more experiences through which they can learn - as opposed to learning from books. Finally they love gambling and are more apt to take risks.

With Venus (I love) in Sagittarius (I know) in the 2nd house of money, material possessions, and personal values you want financial freedom so that you can have more comfort and luxury. The Aspects

Comparing Venus in 0° Sagittarius to your own chart will add another dimension to your interpretation. For example,  in my own chart Transit Venus is applying a conjunction to my Natal Neptune in 4° Sagittarius. When Venus is conjunct Neptune, you can be more inspired and creative. You may feel more spiritual and look for beauty in everything around you. The downside to this is that you can be more vulnerable to deception.

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon occupy the same degree of opposite signs. As you can see from the chart above the Moon is in 16° Taurus and the Sun is in 16° Scorpio making this a Full Moon

The Big Picture

The Sun is transiting the area of the chart that rules over shared resources, while the Taurus Full Moon is strengthening our sense of self-worth and personal values. So there is a dynamic here of what is ours versus what is mine. In the natural chart, Taurus is aligned with the second house which is a succedent house. A Full Moon in a succedent house highlights our sense of security and what we need in order to feel secure in our lives.

A Full Moon in Taurus and the 2nd house would indicate a need to (re)evaluate our sense of self-worth and personal values. We may even find that our individual values do not mesh well with the values of those around us. You may feel that someone is trying to control you or change you in a way that you do not wish to be controlled or changed.

This is a good time to pay off any debts. You can indulge yourself more and, unless you exercise moderation, there is danger of eating more for pleasure that out of need leading to gluttony; or spending too much money on unnecessary item.

The Full Moon is making an exact conjunction to Transit Uranus. With this type of aspect people's emotions can be more erratic and unpredictable. They may feel more unconventional and rebellious. Intuition may be more acute and they can pick up more psychic cues on a subconscious level.

How to Work with Full Moon in Taurus Energy

• Ascertain the natal house influenced by the Full Moon in Taurus
• Check for aspects between the Full Taurus Moon and planets in your Natal Chart.
• Draw up a budget for yourself that you can stick to. Figure out what you can do without or don't need anymore. For example, I have a Netflix account but rarely use it, so I may consider canceling the account.
• Open a savings account or a 401K. If you already have either of these, review your contribution amount to see if you can increase how much you save or invest. Ask you company about matching contributions.
• Purchase homeowners or renter's insurance.
• Exercise more patience
• Make a list of those personal values (loyalty, honesty, etc. )  that are important to you and strive to nurture and emulate those qualities in yourself.
• Make an inventory of your personal valuables and put this list in a safe place.
• Rather than buy new things to make you feel better or to keep up with the Joneses, learn to appreciate what you have.
• As far as possible, without creating a financial hardship for yourself, pay off a debt.
• If you have debt. call your lender and see if you can re-negotiate your interest rate.

Example

To better understand how the Full Moon in Taurus will affect you, you need to look at the house that Taurus occupies in your Natal, or birth, Chart.  For example, in my Natal Chart, Taurus is in the 7th house of relationships. A full moon in the 7th house will highlight issues of relationships. Whereas a New Moon brings something new into your life, a Full Moon can often bring endings and completion. With the Full Moon in the Taurus and the 7th House, you can re-evaluate your personal values as it pertains to the relationships in your life. It is possible that a relationship could end or a new one can begin.  This is also a good time to give your partner a little more space in the relationship, allow them to grow and shine on their own.

Aspects

Another thing you will want to look at is aspects, or the relationships between planets. For instance, if the transit Full Moon is in 16° Taurus and your Natal Mars is in 9° Taurus, then the Moon is said to be separating a conjunction to Mars. Under this aspect, your need for adventure is heightened. You can be prone to accidents now when you act on emotions and instincts without stopping to think first. Your routine brings frustration instead of satisfaction and you want to do something different and exciting. . You can be more aggressive towards other people. Relationships can suffer disruptions.

Commentary 

According to my research, this is a fairly accurate - albeit dramatized - depiction of ancient Chinese Oracle Bone Reading. I believe that the above ritual is the original form of bone reading and that throwing the bones came later. Bone Reading was a form of divination that sought guidance and direction from deities, but also more commonly from the ancestors. A description of the divination ritual can be read at Wikipedia.

Many oracle bones were discovered in the 1800s prompting research into this ancient practice. The most common bone is that of the shoulder blade or the bone of a turtle shell. Many of the bones are inscribed with the details of the reading such as who is asking the question, what is their question, who is reading the bone, what is the answer, and in some cases the eventual outcome. Even today scientist and researchers are still trying to decode the many symbols that appear on the bones in order to learn more about the past.
