Pluto Retrograde 2021

Pluto  (I transform)

So named after the God of the Underworld in mythology, Pluto is associated with transformation and renewal. Such change is not always pleasant or even peaceful.  Transits of Pluto are often marked by periods of destruction followed by some form of renewal and regeneration. In this respect, I see Pluto as being very similar to The Death card in the Tarot. Death is all about change and transformation. However, change can often be scary.

Examples of this kind of action in nature include intentional forest fires which cause the trees to grow back stronger, or cutting dead leaves off a plant so that it can thrive.  Another example of transformation through violence can be seen in the Stonewall Riots that sparked the Gay Liberation Movement, or the American Revolution that gave birth to the United States.

When Pluto is moving forward, it can bring secrets to light and hidden truths are revealed. Often such truths are shocking or hard to accept and we are left to deal with the aftermath of the destruction that they bring. We are left to pick up the pieces and make sense of it all. However, when these things happen they are often for the greater good and are designed to help us grow, to thrive, to become stronger and better than we were before. So, perhaps it is a necessary evil.

When Pluto stations retrograde, our attention turns inward and we are moved to reflect on our darker, more secretive natures. We are challenged to rid ourselves of that which does not serve us, to release that which holds us back, to let go of our secret shame.  If we ignore our shadow selves, we may be confronted by them in the form of qualities we see in others that we do not like. Internal conflict with the self can lead to external disputes with others. Our thoughts may turn to our sense of personal power. We may ask ourselves what makes me feel powerful? What makes me feel powerless? We may take steps to obtain more power over ourselves and in our lives in general.

Pluto RX and You

Where Capricorn falls in your birth chart is the area of life that is most affected.

  • If your rising sign is Aries, Capricorn is your 10th house.
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Capricorn is your 9th house.
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Capricorn is your 8th house.
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Capricorn is your 7th house.
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Capricorn is your 6th house.
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Capricorn is your 5th house.
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Capricorn is your 4th house
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Capricorn is your 3rd house.
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Capricorn is your 2nd house.
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Capricorn is your 1st house.
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Capricorn is your 12th house.
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Capricorn is your 11th house.

Example

For example, Capricorn represents the 3rd house in my birth chart.  The third house naturally aligns with Gemini in the natural chart and is ruled by Mercury. The third house is all about the capacity of our minds, how we exchange and process information, our self-expression, and short journeys.

When Pluto stationed retrograde in Capricorn and my 3rd house back in 2019 I got wrote up for an email I sent that was deemed "unprofessional." Now we are currently in the pre-shadow of Pluto RX and my job is having everyone in our office watch customer service videos on Youtube to improve our skills. So I will definitely be more careful how I frame my words (both spoken and written) over the next 5 months.

Where does Capricorn fall in your natal chart and how will Pluto retrograde likely to affect you?

Full Moon in Scorpio

Full Moon in Scorpio
4/26/221  8:31 PM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon occupy the same degree of opposite signs of the zodiac.  As you can see from the chart above, the Moon is at 7° Scorpio and the Sun is at 7° Taurus forming an opposition creating a dynamic of challenging one another; something is being split or divided.

The Big Picture

Taurus is all about me. My money, my possessions, my values. Scorpio is about us. Our money, our possessions, our values.  So there is a dynamic here of being torn between what is mine and what is ours. We can see this energy play out on a grand scale by watching the news, looking at our newsfeeds on social media, and listening to the people around us.

How to Use Full Moon in Scorpio Energy

  • Identify & explore your passions.
  • Research a topic that interests you
  • Investigate a Mystery / Solve a Puzzle (word search, crosswords, jigsaw, etc..)
  • Participate in a Treasure Hunt
  • Be more flirtatious, have a fling
  • Practice self-transformation (what house in Scorpio in your natal chart?)
  • Embrace / Explore / Express your sexuality
  • Dare yourself to push past your own limitations.

The Personal Touch

To understand how the Full Moon in Scorpio affects us on a personal level we would look to see where Scorpio and Taurus falls in our natal charts. For example  Scorpio in my Natal Chart falls in my first house and  Taurus falls in my 7th house. These houses rule over the self and one's relationships respectively.  Therefore, for me, I may feel torn between my own needs as a person and the needs of my partners in business, friendships, or relationships.

Whereas the New Moon brings new beginnings and new opportunities the Full Moon brings completion and endings. The Full Moon in Scorpio (my natal 1st house) can mean a time of introspection and self-evaluation. This can be a time wherein I am more emotional and I have to recognize and confront what I need to release in order to grow and evolve.  In addition, the Full Moon at 7° Scorpio is applying an opposition to my Mars at 9° Taurus and a square to my MC at 10° Leo. These aspects can bring about mood swings and acts of impulsiveness due to a lack of patience.

What will the Full Moon in Scorpio mean for you?

Mars in Cancer 2021

Mars in Cancer
4/23/221 4:48 AM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses
Mars in Cancer (General)
When Mars is in Cancer people are more apt to act on their feelings.  Since Cancer is aligned with the fourth house in the natural chart it can mean rebellion against your parents (the mother particularly, or mother figures), and accidents at home are more likely, as is a sense of cabin fever.
Transit Aspects
  • Mars Opposite MC (Applying) - This aspect put a strain on your public and professional areas of your life making it hard to climb the ladder of success or to get along with your boss, superiors, or mentors. Acting impulsively can not only be seen as ineffective now, but it can also put your career in jeopardy.
  • Mars Trine Jupiter (Separating) - You're more apt to take risks now. You have an outlook that is both optimistic and realistic. Chances taken now are likely to turn out well.
In this case, these aspects seem to cancel each other out. However, we must give more weight to the Opposition to the MC because this aspect is applying (or getting strength) while the Trine is separating (losing strength).
Mars in Cancer and You
The House where Mars falls in your Natal Chart represents the area of life where you are likely to act on your feelings.
  • If your rising sign is Aries, Cancer is your 4th House.
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Cancer is your 3rd House.
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Cancer is your 2nd House.
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Cancer is your 1st House.
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Cancer is your 12th House.
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Cancer is your 11th House.
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Cancer is your 10th House.
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Cancer is your 9th House.
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Cancer is your 8th House.
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Cancer is your 7th House.
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Cancer is your 6th House.
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Cancer is your 5th House.
Example
Mars in Cancer in the 9th House
Mars in Cancer in the 9th house of spirituality and growth can indicate acting on feelings about philosophy, religion, higher ethics and travel. Mars in Cancer and the 9th house can manifest as a restless desire to to get away, to travel, to explore. If physical travel is not a possibility, then you may explore new people, ideas, and/or cultures in your head. At any rate, sticking to your normal routine can result in restlessness and frustration. This is a good time to learn a new skill or take a class about something that is of interest to you.
Aspects between Transit Planet and Natal Planets
We must also look to how the ingress of Mars into Cancer relates to planets in our Natal Chart through Aspects. For example, in my own Natal chart, Mars at °Cancer will apply as Conjunction to my Saturn at 3° Cancer.
When Mars Conjuncts Saturn, this is where energy and drive meet stability and responsibility. You are now able to use your ambition, drive, and energy in a constructive way. And this will occur in the 9th House area of life such as spiritual growth and dreams. Cancer lends a sense of sensitivity and nurturing to your actions.

The Sun in Taurus 2021

The Sun in Taurus Chart
4/19/21 1:33 PM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Sun in Taurus (General)
The Sun shines a light where ever it falls in a chart. When the Sun is in Taurus, people are generally more patient and less inclined to change. Taurus is a fixed sign, so people generally like things to stay the way they are. They are satisfied with the status quo and make the most of what they have.  People are likely to be more practical, more predictable, more jealous, and more materialistic.
Where Taurus is in your Natal Chart is the areas of life that you want to have and maintain. It's usually something that you like just the way that it is and you don't want anything changing that.
  • If your rising sign is Aries, Taurus is your 2nd House.
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Taurus is your 1st House.
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Taurus is your 12th House.
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Taurus is your 11th House.
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Taurus is your 10th House.
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Taurus is your 9th House.
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Taurus is your 8th House.
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Taurus is your 7th House.
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Taurus is your 6th House.
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Taurus is your 5th House.
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Taurus is your 4th House.
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Taurus is your 3rd House.
Example
The Sun + Taurus + 7th House
The Sun (I am) in Taurus (I Have) in the 7th house of relationship will manifest as patient, kind, and steadfast feelings or attitudes regarding your relationship. While we are inclined to interpret this in terms or romantic or sexual relationships, the 7th house rules relationships of all kind. With the Sun in Taurus and the 7th house you are satisfied with the state of your relationships and they should be going well. If not, you should see them improve and in the main time you will take a more laid back and passive position in regards to any problems that arise.  You are happy with the state of your relationships and wish to maintain this state of satisfaction.
Aspects
Aspects, or relationships between planets, is another dimensions of astrological interpretation that should be considered. For example, let us say that you have Mars at 9° Taurus then that would mean that the Transit Sun is applying a conjunction to Natal Mars. A conjunction is a type of aspect in which the energy or urge of one planet blends with the energy or urge of another planet so that it becomes difficult to tell the two planets apart. Conjunction are neither a soft (easy) nor a hard (difficult) aspect but is actually neutral and can manifest as either easy or difficult depending on the planets.  Let's break down what this actually means.
Transit Sun + Conjunct + Natal Mars
I Am + Blends With + I Act
When the transit Sun makes a conjunction to your natal Mars it gives a boost to your physical energy and you are eager to initiate new projects. In fact, you need to have a physical outlet, such as sex or exercise,  for all this excess energy or it will build up and you can explode (metaphorically speaking) at any moment. You react more quickly now, especially when you feel that you need to either defend or promote yourself in some way.  You should be wary of not letting your ego get too big.
When the Sun first enters Taurus at 0° two planets are 9° apart but within the 10° orb for a conjunction. As the Sun Moves closer to Mars the stronger the aspect will be felt until it is exact at 9° Taurus and then it will weaken as the Sun passes Mars and moves further away.
How will the ingress of the Sun in Taurus manifest for you?

Mercury in Taurus 2021

Mercury in Taurus Chart

Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Mercury in Taurus General
When Mercury is in Taurus, our thoughts and speech slow down. We speak and communication more deliberately, determined to get our point across.  Our thinking processes, such as how we process and exchange information, becomes more slow as well and we are less inclined to change our minds about any subject or matter (Taurus is a fixed sign).  Our thoughts may turn to money and material matters. We may become more fond of what makes us comfortable in terms of the senses such as food, art, music etc...
How Mercury in Taurus Affects You
The house that Taurus occupies in your Natal Chart is the area of life where you will have slow, deliberate thoughts.
Example
Mercury in Taurus in the 7th House
Mercury in this placement can bring slow, deliberate thoughts about our relationships of all kinds. This might be a period in which we consider our relationships and if we are truly happy and satisfied with them. Mercury in the 7th house can indicate a period of (re) negotiation (mercury rules contracts) in our relationships to fix what may be broken or not working as it should be. We may communicate more with the people in our lives who represent our partners, this can be in business or in romantic relationships. You may find that you communicate better one-on-one with other people rather than with groups of individuals.
Aspects
Aspects, or relationships between planets, is another dimension of astrological interpretation that can be examined. Let us suppose then that you have Mars at 9° Taurus. This would mean that Transit Mars is applying a conjunction to your Natal Mars. A conjunction is a type of aspect in which the urge of one planet blends with the urge of another habit so well that it is difficult to tell them apart. Let us break it down:
Transit Mercury + Conjunct + Natal Mars
I Think + blends with + I act
When transit Mercury conjuncts Natal Mars the urge to communicate blends with the assertiveness of Mars. Your communication style is more aggressive now. Consequently you can get into more heavy debates and arguments the short time this aspect is active.  Your words carry more weight and power now, which is good because you may have to defend your stance or opinion on some matter. Even if you are sure of your own opinion, you express yourself with such confidence that you are able to sway people to your way of thinking.
