A New Moon occurs when both the Sun and the Moon simultaneously occupy the same degree of the same sign in the zodiac. As you can see from the above chart, the Sun and Moon both occupy 22° Aries making this a new moon.

How to Work with New Moon in Aries Energy

• Finish old projects before starting new ones. 
• Take a personal inventory of self and choose one aspect of your personality you don't like and make an effort to eliminate that quality,  mode of thought or behavior. 
•  Decide what you like about yourself and work on expanding and accentuating those qualities. 
• Spend some time on self-care, whatever that means to you. Get your hair or nails done, treat yourself to a nice meal, buy a new outfit.  
• Take your relationships to the next level or break if off completely if you don't think it's going to go anywhere. 
• Let go of the past.

This could manifest as unexpected changes that can make me feel uncomfortable or which I resist simply for the sake of being rebellious.

They may show themselves to be more clever, inventive, and changeable.  When Mercury is in Aries, people generally take a more mental approach to situations. They are overflowing with thoughts and ideas and they are more than willing to discuss them with others.  They tend to stay mentally active and busy going from one project to another rather quickly and may find that they start many projects but fail to finish them.  Frustration may result from an inability to bring thought and ideas into reality.

This is a good thing because your work environment will become more busy with this transit taking place.  You are more analytical and apply logic to anything you work on. The sixth house also rules over your health so this would be a good time to talk to your doctor about any health issues you may be having or to start taking steps to improve your health in some way. Any changes that you implement should be done in small steps over time.

Aspects are another dimension of astrological interpretation that should be examined. Let us suppose, then, that you have Saturn at 3° Cancer, then transit Mercury at 0° Aries vwould be applying a square to Saturn.  A square is a type of aspect in which the energy or urge of one planet is creating tension with the energy or urge of another planet.
