Jupiter Retrograde

Jupiter goes retrograde about once a year and generally last anywhere from four to five months. This year, Jupiter Retrograde will take place in Pisces and Aquarius.

When a planet goes retrograde it changes the meaning of that planet in our charts.  Jupiter is known as the Greater Benefic (Venus being the Lesser benefic), and it is the planet of Luck, Expansion, and Optimism.  When Jupiter goes retrograde, it isn't really bad per se, but rather this is a time when we should refrain from taking too many risks, and our optimism should be tempered with a little skepticism. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is..... 

Jupiter Retrograde in Pisces 

Jupiter Retrograde in the watery sign of Pisces can give us a preview of what we can expect to occur in our lives when Jupiter enters Pisces in December 2021 and remains there until May 2022. Pisces is known as the Healer and the Dreamer. When Jupiter retrograde is in Pisces all the energy of compassion, empathy, and healing for others us turned towards ourselves. We can now take time to confront and heal our subconscious and hidden traumas, to nurture ourselves, to practice self-care, and to give more energy to our spirituality and to our dreams.

Jupiter being the largest planet in our solar system commands a huge presence in our corner of the universe so when he shift from the water sign of Pisces into the airy sign of Aquarius, the rebel, it will definitely be felt.  When Jupiter Retrograde transits Aquarius it triggers growth and expansion in the area of technology, altruism, and personal freedom. This is a good time to review any changes that we want to make in our lives on a personal level and in the world in general.
