Jupiter is in Retrograde and so it has moved out of Pisces and backwards into Aquarius. Jupiter is known as the Great Benefic, and so the effects of Jupiter Retrograde isn't that much different from Jupiter Direct. When Jupiter goes retrograde, it isn't really bad per se, but rather this is a time when we should refrain from taking too many risks, and our optimism should be tempered with a little skepticism. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.....

JWhen Jupiter Retrograde transits Aquarius it triggers growth and expansion in the area of technology, altruism, and personal freedom. This is a good time to review any changes that we want to make in our lives on a personal level and in the world in general.

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and the Moon occupy the same degrees of opposing astrological signs. As you can see from the above Full Moon Chart, the Sun is at 1° Leo and the Moon is 180° away at 1° Aquarius making this a Full Moon. When two planets form an opposition in this manner it creates a division. Two things are being split apart or divided. 

The Big Picture 

Aquarius is associated with groups of like minded individuals. They usually come together for a single purpose which serves the group's interests or agenda and which is greater than that of any one individual. For this reason Aquarius rules over clubs, organizations, friends, groups, and associations. 

On the flipside, Leo is more about the individual. Leo is the dramatic actor, proud and territorial  who needs to take center stage and get all the attention for themselves.  They are not concerned with the needs of the many (in a general sense here) but rather with their own needs. 

So what we can expect from this Full Moon in Aquarius? Well a divide between the group agenda / needs and the needs of the individual is expected. With the Full Moon in Aquarius friends and associations come under scrutiny and some relationships or associations may come to an end. Alternately, an acquaintance may become a closer friend. People are, generally speaking, less materialistic now and more charitable. People tend to focus on their dreams for the future now as well as their place in the world.  Now is the time to take steps towards realizing ones dreams or abandon them all together for something more realistic.

For example, in my own chart Aquarius is in the 4th Natal House and Leo is in the 10th.  These two houses are known as the Angular Houses (along with the 1st and 7th) and these are very powerful houses. The fourth house is known as the Imum Coeli (IC) and the tenth house is known as the Midheaven or Medium Coeli (MC). 

Whereas the IC rules over our home and private life, the MC rules over our public life and reputation. For me, there would seem to be a divide between my sense of privacy and what I share with the public (or how I am perceived by the public). With the Full Moon in the 4th house, endings related to the home and family are indicated. This may also be a situation that I would want to keep from the public or to somehow control the flow of information so as the prevent misunderstanding with the public.  

You can go deeper by checking the aspects between the Full Moon in 1° Aquarius and other points in your natal chart. For example, in my own natal chart, the Full Moon at 1° Aquarius is applying a conjunction to my Jupiter at 2° Aquarius. When the Moon Conjunct Jupiter, You experience an emotional high and more optimistic about everything. This is a good time to consider the 'big questions" in life without having to get too deep

With Venus in Virgo, people are generally more discriminating and analytical, especially in the pursuit of love. This does not make the search for love any easier. People are usually more interested in their work and less interested in love. If they do fall for someone it will be because it makes a logical sense. They may even pursue love in the same way that they  pursue a new job, making a list and checking off their criteria.  In terms of work, people generally enjoy taking a systematic approach to their work and bringing order where they see chaos. Virgo, also rules our health so this is a good time to show your body some love by getting healthy and developing healthy routines.

When Mercury squares Pluto you can be more pessimistic and brooding. You're more suspicious of other people now and their motivations and feel the urge to investigate them to get to the bottom of the matter.

A new moon occurs when both the Sun and the Moon occupy the same degree of the same sign of the zodiac at the same time. As you can see from the chart above the Sun and Moon both occupy 18° Cancer making this a new moon. New Moons bring new beginning and opportunities. 

New Moon in Cancer 

When the New Moon is in Cancer, people are generally more moody and emotions run deeper than usual They may isolate themselves in familiar surroundings and/or with close family to reflect on their emotions and nurture themselves.  Alternately, they may concern themselves more with the feelings of others and act in a more nurturing and motherly way towards them. People can open up more easily to close friends and family. 

Generally people may feel more domestic and find themselves engaging more in domestic activities such as cooking, cleaning, and making the home a place of peace, serenity, and solace.  Once should avoid overeating now as you might be apt to be more lazy and thus gain weight.  The intuition is more acute now and is felt through the emotions so your initial feelings and impressions about people and things should be give more weight as this time.
