Full Moon in Capricorn

Full Moon in Capricorn

Natural Chart / Whole Houses

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon occupy the same degree of opposite signs of the zodiac.  As you can see from the chart above, the Moon is at 24° Capricorn and the Sun is at 24° Cancer forming an opposition creating a dynamic of challenging one another; something is being split or divided.

The Big Picture

Capricorn rules over our careers, ambition, profession, who you are in public. When the Full Moon is in Capricorn, people are more interested in the own careers. They want their work to not only be noticed but rewarded as well. It is important now that they are able to take constructive criticism well. This is a good time to re-asses goals and aspirations pertaining to your career; or have a talk with your boss or mentor about taking on more responsibility, or asking for a review of your work to see what you can do better.

Cancer on the other hand rules over home, family, and who you are in private. So there is a divide here between the public vs private.  This is a dynamic that we will see play out in the world at large, and in our personal lives. We can see this dynamic play out by watching the news and seeing events take place in the lives of our friends and associations on social media.

The Personal Touch

To better understand how the Full Moon in Capricorn will affect you on a personal level, you need to look at your natal chart and determine where Capricorn and Cancer fall in terms of natal houses. These are the areas of life where you will feel a division.  For example, in my own chart the 3rd and 9th houses are affected. This can indicate feeling torn between the desire to play it safe close to home and the desire to explore the world outside my comfort zone.

Where does the Full Moon in Cancer fall in your Chart and how will it manifest for you?
