When Mars (I Act) is in Scorpio (I Desire) people are people are more driven to make changes in their lives. However, such changes aren't superficial but rather are more deep and meaningful.  The mind is sharper and more attuned to seeking out the truth of any matter that piques their interest. However they may often find that they need someone, a partner, to help them achieve their goals. Incidentally, they are more apt to have disputes with partners as well, usually over money. 

With Mars (I Act) making an opposition to Pluto (I Transform) you may feel that you need more power in your life but that power is being held by someone who refuses to share it with you. You may feel that you need to take power for yourself and you will by very controlling and dominating in order to accrue more power for yourself.

Mars (I act) in Scorpio (I desire) in the first house of self can translate to I act passionately on my desire for change and transformation concerning myself. With Mars in Scorpio and the first house you have more drive and energy and it shows. You direct this energy towards anything that you are excited about or interested in. You can be more competitive and confrontational, and will need to work off that excess of energy with some kind of physical outlet. This is a good time for beginnings, however, anything begun while Mars in transiting the first house is not likely to be finished. You may have a tendency to start things but not finish them and have too many balls in the air.

Aspect to Natal Chart 

You will also want to look at any aspects forming between Transit Mars and planets in your Natal, or Birth Chart. For example. With Mars in 0° Scorpio applying a conjunction with my Natal Venus in 2° Scorpio I can look forward to more energy and a greater desire for physical intimacy.  If a physical outlet is not found, then there is danger of spending money on things that are unnecessary. 

But wait, there's more! 

Transit Mars is also applying a conjunction to my Natal Ascendant. What this means is, again, greater energy and a desire for competition and a more likely change of confrontations with other. There isn't just a need to compete, but also to win. Again, the sex drive increases and could make you more appealing to some while causing others to hate for without knowing exactly why.
