New Moon in Pisces 2025

New Moon in Pisces

The Lesson

To embrace compassion, and trust in the flow of your spiritual and emotional journey.

The Affirmation

I embrace the flow of my intuition and allow my dreams to gently guide me toward compassionate and creative expression.

Interpretation

When the moon is brand new and in the sign of Pisces, it's a time for fresh starts related to your imagination and inner world. You might feel extra creative, dreamy, and inspired. People tend to turn inward during this time. They're more likely to focus on their gut feelings, their imaginations, and what they truly want deep down. You might find yourself thinking deeply about things, or you might want to do things that connect you to your spiritual side. This could mean writing in a journal, setting goals, meditating, exploring things like tarot cards, letting go of old hurts, or simply expressing yourself creatively.

Aspects

While the New Moon occurs in Pisces, Neptune is conjunct the North Node in Pisces AND opposite the South Node in Virgo. This transit encourages letting go of rigid control and embracing a more spiritual, compassionate, and imaginative life, moving away from perfectionism and over-analysis.

  • Write down or draw your dreams, interpret them.

The Sun in Pisces 2025

The Sun in Pisces

The Lesson

To embrace our intuition, compassion, and creativity, while also being mindful of potential illusions and the need for grounding.

The Affirmation

I embrace my intuition and creativity, allowing my Piscean sun to illuminate my dreams and connect me to the boundless flow of compassion.

Interpretation

When the sun enters the astrological sign of Pisces, it's a time for reflection and emotional cleansing. People tend to become more introspective and withdrawn, focusing on their inner feelings and past hurts. They may be more sensitive and intuitive, with vivid dreams and a greater sense of empathy.

Aspects

Neptune conjunct the North Node in Pisces opposite a conjunction of the South Node and the MC in Virgo.

This astrological event suggests a significant opportunity for spiritual and creative growth. It's a time to blend imagination with practical skills. With Neptune and the North Node together in Pisces, people are encouraged to trust their intuition, be more compassionate, and explore their artistic side. The opposing South Node in Virgo indicates a need to release perfectionism, harsh self-judgment, and over-reliance on logic. Because this opposition is also connected to one's public image and career, these themes could manifest in professional life.  People might experience a career change or find a more creative and spiritually fulfilling job. It's a favorable period for having big dreams, but it's important to remember to take practical steps to realize them and use talents to benefit others.

Magical Correspondences

  • Herbs: Lavender, Chamomile, Lemon Balm
  • Essential Oils: Lavender, Frankincense, Sandalwood
  • Crystals: Amethyst, Aquamarine, Rose Quartz

Venus in Aries 2025

Venus in Aries

I love confidently

The Lesson

Embrace your independence and pursue what you desire with courage and passion, while also learning to balance assertiveness with consideration for others.

The Affirmation

I am confident and courageous in expressing my desires, and I attract love and abundance by being true to myself.

Interpretation

When Venus is in Aries, people tend to feel more passionate and driven. They're more confident and excited, and they're more likely to pursue their desires – whether it's a romantic partner or a personal ambition. They might be more willing to take risks, act spontaneously, and assert themselves. This is a good time to chase dreams like starting a relationship, working on a creative project, or looking for a new job.  However, Aries can also make people impulsive, leading to hasty decisions. While it's good to follow your instincts, it's also wise to think things through. Taking a moment to consider your actions can help avoid mistakes and ensure you're pursuing your passions in a smart way. Basically, it's about balancing courage with careful thought, so you can go after what you want without doing anything you'll regret.

Aspects

When Venus (love and values) travels through Aries and joins with Neptune (dreams and spirituality) and the North Node (destiny) in Pisces, it can make us feel very idealistic and spiritually driven in our relationships.  We might deeply crave a soulmate connection or be drawn to someone who seems to perfectly match our spiritual beliefs.  However, because Neptune can blur reality, we might not see things as they truly are, leading to potential disappointment.  The North Node in Pisces suggests we grow by being more compassionate and loving unconditionally, but also by learning to tell the difference between our fantasies and what's real. This time could bring spiritual awakenings and creative inspiration, but it's crucial to stay grounded and avoid getting lost in illusions or deceiving ourselves.

Magical Correspondences

  • Herbs: Ginger, Hawthorn, Damiana
  • Essential Oils: Clary Sage, Bergamot, Damiana
  • Crystals: Rose Quartz, Carnelian, Emerald

Escaping Reality: How Pisces Energy Plays Out in Your Natal Chart

Escaping Reality: How Pisces Energy Plays Out in Your Natal Chart

Pisces, the mystical fish of the zodiac, embodies the realm of dreams, intuition, and sometimes, escapism. But this tendency to seek refuge from reality manifests differently depending on where Pisces lands in your natal chart. Let's explore the 12 houses and how Pisces energy might color your escape mechanisms:

1st House (Self): Here, Pisces' escapism can manifest as a chameleon-like personality. You might adopt different personas to avoid revealing your true self, or even stage "disappearing acts" when things get tough.

2nd House (Possessions): Retail therapy becomes a siren song, with material possessions offering a temporary escape from emotional discomfort. Be mindful of overspending or clinging to objects for a sense of security.

3rd House (Communication): Do you find yourself constantly daydreaming or zoning out during conversations? Pisces in the 3rd house might lead to escapism through social media, video games, or getting lost in fantastical stories.

4th House (Home and Family): Your home becomes a sanctuary, but perhaps to a fault. You might create an overly idealized living space or escape into excessive napping to avoid facing external challenges.

5th House (Creativity and Play): This placement fuels a vibrant imagination, but escapism can creep in. You might lose yourself for hours in creative pursuits, indulge in hobbies to the point of neglecting responsibilities, or find solace in romantic fantasies that don't quite match reality.

6th House (Health and Routine): Feeling overwhelmed? Pisces energy here might lead to oversleeping, neglecting healthy habits in favor of comfort food, or chronic procrastination as a way to postpone facing problems.

7th House (Relationships): Relationships can be a source of both connection and escape. You might idealize partners, fall into codependent dynamics, or avoid intimacy altogether if facing emotional vulnerability feels too real.

8th House (Transformation and Shared Resources): This house deals with deep emotions and shared resources. Escapism can manifest as risky behaviors, exploring the occult or taboo subjects to avoid emotional pain, or isolating yourself during times of transformation.

9th House (Philosophy and Travel): The allure of the unknown is strong. You might escape through constant travel, religious pursuits that offer solace, or getting lost in grand philosophies to avoid dealing with immediate challenges.

10th House (Career and Reputation): Workaholism becomes a refuge. You might throw yourself into your career to avoid personal issues, or constantly seek a new professional path in search of the perfect escape.

11th House (Friends and Groups): Social circles become your haven. You might lose yourself in group activities to avoid conflict, cling to utopian ideals within your friend group, or simply disappear from social situations when things get complicated.

12th House (Subconscious and Dreams): This house is all about the unseen world. Pisces energy here can manifest as excessive daydreaming, escapism through sleep or elaborate fantasies, or even self-imposed isolation as a way to process emotions and challenges.

Remember, Escapism Isn't Always Bad:

Taking breaks and indulging in healthy forms of escapism is a vital part of self-care. However, when these tendencies become a crutch to avoid dealing with life's challenges, they can hinder growth. By understanding where Pisces energy shows up in your chart, you can become more aware of your escape patterns and find healthier coping mechanisms. Astrology empowers you to navigate the real world while embracing the beautiful dreamer within.

Mars in Pisces (2024)

Mars in Pisces

Affirmation: I act compassionately.
The Lesson: Channel your fiery drive into compassion, creativity, and a deeper connection to your inner world.

Interpretation

As Mars, the fiery planet of action and assertion, traverses the dreamy waters of Pisces, a fascinating shift unfolds. His usual boldness is softened by the emotional and spiritual energy of Pisces, the sign of intuition and compassion. This celestial encounter can have a profound effect on us all.

On a collective level, a wave of empathy washes over us. People are naturally drawn to be more understanding and compassionate towards others. Conflicts may seem less important, replaced by a desire to find common ground. This can be a powerful time for diplomacy and fostering peace. The creative spark within us is also ignited by this transit. The boundaries between logic and imagination blur, allowing us to tap into a wellspring of artistic inspiration. We may find ourselves drawn to creative endeavors we've long neglected, or discover new avenues for self-expression through music, art, or writing.

Pisces' deep connection to the spiritual realm is also amplified during this time.  People may feel a renewed interest in their inner world, exploring their intuition and exploring practices like meditation or spending time in nature. This introspective journey can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself and one's place in the universe. However, not everyone experiences this transit smoothly. The heightened emotional energy of Pisces can sometimes lead to oversensitivity and emotional reactivity. It's important to be mindful of our triggers and practice healthy emotional regulation techniques during this time.

Aspects

Mars in Pisces 7H  is making a Square to the Transit MC 9H.

Mystic Mantra: I trust my intuition and express my desires with compassion. Focused action, guided by clear communication, brings my ambitious dreams to fruition.

This astrological configuration can certainly stir up feelings of frustration and indecisiveness. It's like having a powerful engine (Mars) revving in your garage (7th house), but the roadmap to your destination (MC) is unclear (Pisces influence on Mars) and the GPS (Gemini on MC) keeps giving conflicting directions (square aspect).  The key here isn't to slam on the brakes (suppressing the Martian energy), but rather to find a way to channel that powerful engine into a productive journey.

Here are some expanded tips to help navigate this transit:

  • Embrace the Creative Spark:  Mars in Pisces ignites a potent mix of passion and intuition. Instead of letting frustration simmer, channel this energy into creative pursuits. Take up painting, writing, or music. Explore a new artistic medium that allows you to express your emotions in a way that feels freeing.
  • Communicate with Compassion: The 7th house highlights partnerships and close relationships. Open and honest communication is crucial during this transit. However, remember that Mars in Pisces can make direct confrontation feel uncomfortable.  Express your needs and frustrations assertively, but with a dose of Piscean empathy. Consider "I" statements to frame your concerns without placing blame on others.
  • Refine, Don't Abandon Your Goals: The Gemini influence on the MC can make your professional aspirations feel scattered.  Instead of scrapping your goals entirely, take this as an opportunity to refine them.  Do some brainstorming exercises, write down your long-term vision, and then break it down into smaller, more manageable steps.  This will help you regain focus and keep that Martian engine pointed in the right direction.
  • Seek Inspiration Through Exploration: The 9th house, ruled by the Gemini MC, is all about expanding your horizons. If you're feeling stuck, consider a metaphorical (or literal) journey. Take a class online, delve into a new philosophy, or even plan a short trip.  Learning something new can spark fresh ideas and help you connect the dots between your current situation and your ultimate goals.
  • Find a Supportive Guide: Sometimes, the best way to navigate a confusing road map is to have a reliable co-pilot. Talking to a trusted mentor, therapist, or career counselor can provide valuable guidance during this transit. They can help you  identify underlying anxieties, clarify your vision, and develop a clear action plan that taps into your Martian drive without succumbing to indecisiveness.
By embracing these strategies and understanding the astrological influences at play, you can transform this potentially frustrating period into a time of growth, self-discovery, and ultimately, a more focused and fulfilling journey towards your goals.

Correspondences

  • Color: Red (Mars); Green (Pisces)

  • Amazonite:  Known as the "Stone of Hope and Truth," Amazonite encourages clear thinking and soothes anxieties,  useful for overcoming indecisiveness related to the MC (Gemini) and fostering open communication in relationships (7th house).
  • Labradorite:  This stone fosters intuition and transformation, aiding in finding creative solutions (Mars in Pisces)  and adapting to unexpected challenges related to travel or education (9th house).

Mars in Pisces 2020

Mars in Pisces
5/12/20 9:17 PM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Mars in Pisces (General)

When Mars in in Pisces people are driven to be more introverted and introspective. They don't like to be around other people because it can be overwhelming, or even draining and they need more time to rest, regenerate, and recharge.  Dreams and intuition can be more powerful now, so this is a good time to re(start) a dream journal, recording any psychic episodes, or channeling your visions into some type of art, music, or some other creative endeavor.

The house that Pisces occupies in your chart is the area of life where the effect of Mars in Pisces will most be felt.

  • If your rising sign is Aries, Pisces is your 12th House.
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Pisces is your 11th House.
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Pisces is your 10th House.
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Pisces is your 9th House.
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Pisces is your 8th House.
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Pisces is your 7th House.
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Pisces is your 6th House.
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Pisces is your 5th House.
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Pisces is your 4th House.
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Pisces is your 3rd House.
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Pisces is your 2nd House.
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Pisces is your 1st House.

Example

Mars in Pisces and the 5th House

I am driven to act withdrawn and spiritual about my creativity and what brings me pleasure.

The urge to act expresses itself as shy, isolated, and introverted and this generally manifest in the area of love, romance, and hobbies. You're more creative now and are drive to express your creativity in some way. You're less interested in work and more interested in your hobbies and things that bring you happiness and pleasure.  You may start a new hobby now, or revisit an old one.

Aspects

Aspects, or relationships between planets, are another dimension of astrological interpretation that should be considered. For example let us suppose that you have Venus in 2° Scorpio, then that would mean that Transit Mars in 0° Pisces is forming a trine to Venus in 2° Scorpio. A trine is a type of aspect in which the energy or urge of one planet is supportive of the energy or urge of another planet.
When Mars forms a trine to Venus, it give strength and energy to your aura of charm and attractiveness. You can use your charm to get what you want more easily now and with less effort.

Ruler of the House

The ruler of the house should also be considered. Mars rules Aries so the house that Aries occupies in your Natal Chart will feel the affect of Mars in Pisces. To interpret the ruler of the house there are two questions that you should ask yourself. They are:

1) What house does Mars-Ruled Aries occupy in my natal chart?
2) What house does Pisces (Mars in Pisces) occupy in my natal chart?

Let us suppose then that Pisces is your 5th house, then Aries would be your 6th. This could be expressed as the ruler of the Ruler of the 5th House in the 6th house, or the activities of the 5th house serve the agenda of the 6th house. This could be stated as "creativity, pleasure, and hobbies serve health, work, and routine."  We can then extrapolate on this statement and say something like "you find ways to be creative in your job each day. You interject more fun into your work. Your creative gifts are more appreciated at your job or otherwise make you more employable. You may work more with children or animals. You must make time every day for your hobbies and interests."

How will the ingress of Mars in Pisces manifest for you?

New Moon in Pisces 2020

New Moon Chart
2/23/2020  7:31 AM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

When the Moon is in Pisces people are more sensitive to the prevailing psychic undercurrents of their environment and people around them.  They may also be more apt to associate with shady individuals or those who are handicapped. This usually manifests as a more altruistic, humanitarian, or emphatic outlook towards others.  The bad side of this a tendency to be too self-sacrificing. People generally have lofty dreams and goals.

The House is Where it Happens

The Astrological House in which the New Moon occurs in your Natal Chart gives an indication of the area of life activated by the New Moon and where you can expect to see the energy of the New Moon in Pisces to play out. Since the March New Moon occurs in 15 degrees Pisces, you would look at your Natal, or Birth Chart to ascertain in what House 15 degrees Pisces occurs.

The Twelve Houses of Life

  1. The self, ego, appearance, initiative, leadership, fresh starts and new beginnings.
  2. Money and material matters.  Your physical environment, income, money, and your sense of self-esteem.
  3. Communication in all its forms (thinking, writing, speaking, etc... ) as well as siblings, local travel, teachers and community events.
  4. Home, privacy, your basic sense of security, your mother, children, and your own ability to nurture others.
  5. Creative expression, drama, attention, love, and romance.
  6. Health and service to others. Your routine, diet, exercise and helpfulness to others.
  7. Marriage, partnerships, and relationships of all kinds.  Contracts, business deals, etc...
  8. Birth, death, sex, other people's money and property.
  9. Expansion, the higher mind, foreign matters (languages, cultures, travel) luck, adventure, risk, philosophy, ethics and morals.
  10. The public, fame, honors, reputation, awards, boundaries, rules, discipline, authority, the father.
  11. Groups of people such as friends and associations, networking, social justice.  Originality, sudden unexpected events, invention, surprises, and all things futuristic.
  12. Endings. Completion, tying up loose ends, old age, karma, making amends, and the afterlife. Imagination, creativity, poetry, and the subconscious mind.

A Practical Example
New Moon in Pisces and the 5th House

With the New Moon in the fifth house you are more sensitive and it is harder for you to hide your feelings from those around you.  If you are in a relationship, you may experience deeper and more intense feelings for your lover or partner.  You may experience a certain obsession and possessiveness for your lover. Alternately, it is also possible that focus on your own feelings at the expense of the feelings of those around you.

The moon brings the instinct to mother, or nurture, others and the 5th house rules over children. With the moon transiting the 5th house you may experience the desire to take care of others in a parental or mothering manner -- in fact you can be quite overprotective. It is important that your efforts to protect another person does not keep them from assuming responsibility for their own thoughts, words, and deeds.

How to Work with New Moon in Pisces Energy

Even if you don't know your astrological sign, you can still work with New Moon in Pisces with the following activities:

  • take a digital detox by avoiding social media, email, or spending time on your cell phone
  • start a dream journal, study your dreams for messages
  • try writing some poetry or just put your thoughts to paper
  • make a collage or mandala of your dreams
  • study your natal chart; transits, lunar return, or solar return chart
  • engage in spiritual bathing; go for a swim, relax in a hot tub.
  • get a psychic reading (tarot, astrology, bone reading, etc... )
  • start a meditation practice; visualize your goals; write an affirmation
  • engage in spiritual pursuits (journaling, yoga, affirmation, spiritual bathing etc...)
  • schedule a therapy session with a qualified therapist;
  • practice self care
  • learn to set boundaries

How will you observe the Pisces New Moon?

Mercury in Pisces Feb 2020

Mercury in Pisces
2/3/20 3:37 AM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Mercury in Pisces (General)

Mercury is said to be in detriment in Pisces. A planet is in detriment when a planet is in the sign opposite of it's rulership. Mercury rules Virgo (and Gemini) and Pisces is six signs away (or opposite) Virgo. Detriment is a term that describes the condition of a planet in a sign. When a planet is in detriment it means that a planet is cut off from it's resources and will have to adapt in order to reach it's full potential. The keyword for detriment is diminished

Mercury is the planet of the mind. It is all about logic, our thinking, and communication. Pisces, being a water-sign, is emotionally based, dreamy, and intuitive.  So when Mercury is in Pisces, our thoughts are at odds with our emotions. You may feel caught up in your feelings. Communication proves to be more difficult. You can be more sensitive at this time and and find yourself being ruled by your emotions. You may also find yourself in danger of emotional outburst in which you blurt our your feelings without stopping to consider what you are saying.

The upside to Mercury in Pisces is that you can use this energy to get in touch your with your feelings and emotions. Your imagination is enhanced and you can be more creative and artsy at this time. This is also a good time to practice and refine your intuitive faculties. If you are interested in any metaphysical subjects such as Astrology and Tarot, this is a good time to start learning.

Where Pisces falls in your Natal Chart is the area of life where you will have vague, romantic, and intuitive thoughts.

Example

Mercury + Pisces + 5th House

I have romantic thoughts about love

Mercury in Pisces and the 5th house of love, children, and creativity manifests as vague, romantic thoughts regarding love and romance. The mind can become clouded by feelings of love and romance with this placement making the native susceptible to deception by others, especially those that he or she cares about. You are more sensitive and have trouble defining not only your feelings but the feelings and emotions of those around you.

Nonetheless, the fifth house rules creativity (including our hobbies) and with Mercury transiting the fifth house you can more easily attune yourself to your own sense of creativity. Your hobbies bring your more satisfaction, you (re)discover yourself as an artist and visionary. You are more social and want to have more fun. The fifth house also rules over children -- if you are a parent conversations with your children can be deeper and more loving.  In terms of love, Mercury transiting the fifth house can portend meeting a romantic interest through the internet (mercury rules communication) and that he or she could either be younger than you (in age) or simply young at heart.

Aspects

Aspects, or relationships between planets, is another dimension of astrological interpretation that should be considered. For example, in my own chart Transit Mercury at 0° Pisces is applying a Trine to my Natal Venus at 2°Scorpio. A trine is a type of aspect in which the energy or urge of one planet is supportive of the urge of another planet. Since the slower planet usually has the greater affect on the faster planet we would read this as Natal Venus Trine Transit Mercury. Let's break it down ...

Venus Trine Mercury

I Love supports I Think

Venus making a trine to Mercury increases your charm and attractiveness. You can capture the attention and interest of others but it may be harder to keep id because you can be less disciplines now. If you have somethng important to say or do that will require the assistance of others, this is the time to make sure that there is substance to your words and deeds.

Ruler of the House

Now we give consideration to the Ruler of the House. In Astrology,  Mercury rules both Gemini and Virgo.  The houses that Gemini and Virgo fall in your Natal Chart are the houses that will be affected by the transit of Mercury through Pisces.

For example, in my own natal chart Virgo is in the 11th House. In this case, it is said that the Ruler of the 11th house is in the 5th house (because Pisces is n my 5th house).  What this means is that the activities of the 11th house support the urge of the 5th house. This could be interpreted as friends, associates, and groups support love, creativity, self expression and children. Finally, we can expand on this statement using our keywords and say something like you feel more creative when you are workign with like minded people, working with others helps bring out your talents and allows you to expressive your creativity. You could meet someone special through your friends or through a group of like minded people, while working for a cause, or a friend could become a lover.

Where is Pisces in your chart and how will Mercury in Pisces manifest for you?

Mercury Retrograde Feb - Mar 2020

Mercury Retrograde

Feb - Mar  2020

Pre-Shadow               2/02     12:42 AM      28° Aquarius.svg 13'
Retrograde                 2/16     4:53 AM        12° Pisces.svg 53'
Station Direct            3/09      8:41 PM        28° Aquarius.svg 13'
Post-Shadow Ends    3/29     7:32 PM         12° Pisces.svg 53'

The Pre-Shadow is when we can begin to see Mercury start slowing down and this is where we will begin to feel the beginning of Mercury Retrograde. This period of time can be marked by errors in communication, travel, and electronics. These are just general events that usually occur during periods of Mercury Retrograde. The Sign or Signs that Mercury RX occurs in also influences events that occur during Mercury RX.

The Pre-Shadow begins in Aquarius and this can cause people to exhibit unusual or unpredictable thoughts and behavior. During this time period you could re-evaluate the people and groups you choose to associate your self with. You may feel that you no longer fit in with any of these groups or associations, or their purpose no longer appeals to you. You may decide to put some distance between you and them or remove yourself from them all together. Alternately, you may even find yourself cast out or removed from a group or your friend's circle.

To figure out exactly how Mercury Retrograde will affect you on a personal, individual level, you will need to see what natal house your Aquarius is in. The area of life represented by that house is the area of life that will most be affected by Mercury Retrograde. Essentially, those events that occur during the Pre-Shadow will frame your experiences during the retrograde phase. These experiences are believed to be necessary for our own personal growth and soul-evolvement. At the end of the Pre-Shadow, Mercury will come to a complete stop and 12° Pisces and sit there for about four days before moving gain.

The Retrograde period is when Mercury starts moving again, only from our perspective on Earth it will appear to be moving backwards across the zodiac.  It is during this period that we will most strongly feel the effects of Mercury Retrograde. Generally speaking, we can expect communication, travel, and electronics to go all wonky on us.  During Mercury Retrograde, we refrained from making any major decisions or changes. Instead we are told to RE-lax, RE-evaluate, RE-assess our issues and conditions

Generally speaking Mercury Retrograde in Pisces can manifest as opportunities to confront and heal emotional baggage. Issues long hidden or thought to be in the past can come to the fore now forcing us to deal with them.  Again, to figure out exactly how Mercury Retrograde will affect you on a personal, individual level, you will need to see what natal house your Pisces is in. The area of life represented by that house is the area of life that will most be affected by Mercury Retrograde Towards the end of this retrograde period, Mercury will begin to slow down again before coming to a full stop at 28° Aquarius. It will set there for about five days before it starts moving forward again.

Mercury is said to Station Direct when it starts moving forward again. This is the period when many people feel like they can start breathing again (metaphorically speaking). They hear Mercury Direct and think that its over. But that is not the case. Mercury Stationing Direct is really the beginning of the Post-Shadow period.

Finally, we experience the Post-Shadow. This is the period between the time Mercury stations direct and it reaches the point where it initially began to slow down in the first place. Just like when you get in your car to drive somewhere, your speed is not constant. The speed of your vehicle is constantly shifting, slowing down, stopping, and speeding up again. In like fashion, Mercury's speed is not constant. Mercury usually moves at about 2 degrees per day, however, during the post shadow period is may move only about 1 degree (or less) per day and will pick up speed as the days go forward.

The post-shadow period of Mercury Retrograde is characterized as a period in which those issues raised during Mercury Retrograde are still present but may be winding down, that is, they are still present but not as intense as before. During this post shadow phase is where we take what we learned during Mercury Retrograde and apply that knowledge to re-dress and re-solve those issues and conditions that were raised during Mercury Retrograde.
