The Sun in Pisces 2025

The Sun in Pisces

The Lesson

To embrace our intuition, compassion, and creativity, while also being mindful of potential illusions and the need for grounding.

The Affirmation

I embrace my intuition and creativity, allowing my Piscean sun to illuminate my dreams and connect me to the boundless flow of compassion.

Interpretation

When the sun enters the astrological sign of Pisces, it's a time for reflection and emotional cleansing. People tend to become more introspective and withdrawn, focusing on their inner feelings and past hurts. They may be more sensitive and intuitive, with vivid dreams and a greater sense of empathy.

Aspects

Neptune conjunct the North Node in Pisces opposite a conjunction of the South Node and the MC in Virgo.

This astrological event suggests a significant opportunity for spiritual and creative growth. It's a time to blend imagination with practical skills. With Neptune and the North Node together in Pisces, people are encouraged to trust their intuition, be more compassionate, and explore their artistic side. The opposing South Node in Virgo indicates a need to release perfectionism, harsh self-judgment, and over-reliance on logic. Because this opposition is also connected to one's public image and career, these themes could manifest in professional life.  People might experience a career change or find a more creative and spiritually fulfilling job. It's a favorable period for having big dreams, but it's important to remember to take practical steps to realize them and use talents to benefit others.

The Sun in Taurus 2020

Sun in Taurus
4/19/20 7:45 AM
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Sun in Taurus (General)

The Sun shines a light where ever it falls in a chart. When the Sun is in Taurus, people are generally more patient and less inclined to change. Taurus is a fixed sign, so people generally like things to stay the way they are. They are satisfied with the status quo and make the most of what they have.  People are likely to be more practical, more predictable, more jealous, and more materialistic.

Where Taurus is in your Natal Chart is the areas of life that you want to have and maintain. It's usually something that you like just the way that it is and you don't want anything changing that.

  • If your rising sign is Aries, Taurus is your 2nd House.
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Taurus is your 1st House.
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Taurus is your 12th House.
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Taurus is your 11th House.
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Taurus is your 10th House.
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Taurus is your 9th House.
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Taurus is your 8th House.
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Taurus is your 7th House.
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Taurus is your 6th House.
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Taurus is your 5th House.
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Taurus is your 4th House.
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Taurus is your 3rd House.

Example
The Sun + Taurus + 7th House

The Sun (I am) in Taurus (I Have) in the 7th house of relationship will manifest as patient, kind, and steadfast feelings or attitudes regarding your relationship. While we are inclined to interpret this in terms or romantic or sexual relationships, the 7th house rules relationships of all kind.
With the Sun in Taurus and the 7th house you are satisfied with the state of your relationships and they should be going well. If not, you should see them improve and in the main time you will take a more laid back and passive position in regards to any problems that arise.  You are happy with the state of your relationships and wish to maintain this state of satisfaction.

Aspects

Aspects, or relationships between planets, is another dimensions of astrological interpretation that should be considered. For example, let us say that you have Mars at 9° Taurus then that would mean that the Transit Sun is applying a conjunction to Natal Mars. A conjunction is a type of aspect in which the energy or urge of one planet blends with the energy or urge of another planet so that it becomes difficult to tell the two planets apart. Conjunction are neither a soft (easy) nor a hard (difficult) aspect but is actually neutral and can manifest as either easy or difficult depending on the planets.  Let's break down what this actually means.

Transit Sun + Conjunct + Natal Mars

I Am + Blends With + I Act

When the transit Sun makes a conjunction to your natal Mars it gives a boost to your physical energy and you are eager to initiate new projects. In fact, you need to have a physical outlet, such as sex or exercise,  for all this excess energy or it will build up and you can explode (metaphorically speaking) at any moment. You react more quickly now, especially when you feel that you need to either defend or promote yourself in some way.  You should be wary of not letting your ego get too big.

When the Sun first enters Taurus at 0° two planets are 9° apart but within the 10° orb for a conjunction. As the Sun Moves closer to Mars the stronger the aspect will be felt until it is exact at 9° Taurus and then it will weaken as the Sun passes Mars and moves further away.

Ruler of the House

The Ruler of the House is another dimension of astrological interpretation that should be examined. The Sun rules Leo and whatever house Leo occupies in your Natal Chart and this house will influence the house that Taurus occupies in your natal chart. To better understand this you need to ask yourself two questions. They are:

  1. What house does the Sun Ruled Leo occupy in your Natal Chart ?
  2. What houses does Taurus (Sun in Taurus) occupy in your Natal Chart?
Let us suppose that the Sun is in your 11th House, that would put Taurus in your 7th. It would then be said that the ruler of the 11th house is in the 7th house. What this means is that the activities of 11th house serve the urge or agenda of the 7th house. This could be expressed as "friends, groups, and associations serve marriage, agreements, and contracts."

We can then extrapolate on this statement and say something like "your friends become romantic or business partners. Your friendships have an affect on your relationships (for good or bad). You want your friends to approve of your relationships, or your partner; or you want your partner to approve of your friends and the causes to which you commit yourself."

How will the ingress of the Sun into Taurus manifest for you?

The Sun in Capricorn 2019

Sun in Capricorn
12/21/19  8:19 PM  PDT
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

Sun in Capricorn (General)

The Sun enters Capricorn tonight announcing heralding the Winter Solstice and therefore the beginning of Winter.  Perhaps it should not surprise you, dear reader, then that when the Sun enters Capricorn people become colder - both figuratively and literally. With another year almost behind them, people may feel older, and more responsible. They may settle into a more practical mood or mindset and turn their attention and interest to their financial affairs, set new responsibilities for themselves, and become more determined.

As you can see from the chart above The Sun and Jupiter are about 4 degrees apart and therefore applying a conjunction between the two planets.  The expansive energy of Jupiter amplifies the confidence, creativity, and power of the Sun. For the short time this aspect is active, people may feel more confident and so this is also a good time to start something new or to accept new opportunities and make the best of them.

Where Capricorn falls in your chart is the area of life where the ingress of the Sun in Capricorn will most be felt.

  • If your rising sign is Aries, Capricorn is your 10th House.
  • If your rising sign is Taurus, Capricorn is your 9th House.
  • If your rising sign is Gemini, Capricorn is your 8th House.
  • If your rising sign is Cancer, Capricorn is your 7th House.
  • If your rising sign is Leo, Capricorn is your 6th House.
  • If your rising sign is Virgo, Capricorn is your 5th House.
  • If your rising sign is Libra, Capricorn is your 4th House.
  • If your rising sign is Scorpio, Capricorn is your 3rd House.
  • If your rising sign is Sagittarius, Capricorn is your 2nd House.
  • If your rising sign is Capricorn, Capricorn is your 1st House.
  • If your rising sign is Aquarius, Capricorn is your 12th house.
  • If your rising sign is Pisces, Capricorn is your 11th House.

Example

The Sun + Capricorn + 3rd House

With the Sun in Capricorn and the third house of communication, siblings, and short journeys you become more disciplined and responsible in  the way in whch you communicate with others.  Your mind if more active and overflowing with thougts and ideas and that energy of Capricorn helps you to sort through them in a more systematic and disciplined mannter.

The Aspects, or relatonship between planets is another dimensions of astrological interpretation that is to be considered. I've already touched upon the aspects in the transit chart above, however, one should also look at the aspects between the planets in the transit chart and those in one's birth chart. For example, The Sun in 0° Capricorn is applying an opposition to Saturn in 3° Cancer.

Saturn is called the Great Teacher and when he touches another point or position in your chart you are presented with a lesson designed to help you grow, mature ane evolve. Unfortunatley, these lessons often come in the form of some kind of challenge or difficulty that we must overcome. When the Transit Sun makes an opposition to Natal Saturn you experience blockages and obstacles that present a blow to your ego. This is a time to strive for making better decisions an living more responsibly.

The Sun in Scorpio 2019

Sun in Scorpio
10/23/19  10:19 am (Pacific)
Natural Chart / Whole Houses

When the Sun (I am) is in Scorpio (I want) people can be more thoughtful and brooding.  As the days grow shorter and the nights longer, they can be more intense and passionate. The need for sex and intimacy may also be stronger. They may also be somewhat more secretive but demand more transparency from those around them. Their focus may turn to transforming their lives in some way that they consider profound and meaningful.

Where Scorpio falls in your natal chart is the area of life where The Sun in Scorpio will be felt most.
* If Aries is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 8th House
* If Taurus is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 7th House
* If Gemini is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 6th House
* If Cancer is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 5th House
* If Leo is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 4th House
* If Virgo is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 3rd House
* If Libra is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 2nd House
* If Scorpio is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 1st House
* If Sagittarius is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 12th House
* If Capricorn is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 11th House
* If Aquarius is your rising sign, the Scorpio is your 10th House
* If Pisces is your rising sign, then Scorpio is your 9th House

Example

The Sun in Scorpio and the 1st House

With the Sun in Scorpio and the 1st house, you focus on yourself. You have more self-esteem and self-confidence and you want more attention and interest from others.  You have an outlook on life that can be described as more bold and you're more willing to take risks.  This is a good time to experiment with your look or style by changing your hairstyle or your manner of dress.  This is also a good time for you to try new things in general.

The Aspects

Another thing to look at would be the aspects that the Sun in 0° Scorpio makes to other planet and points in your chart. For example, in my chart the Sun in 0° Scorpio is making an applying conjunction to my Ascendant at 5° Scorpio.  If the Sun is conjunct the Ascendant (myself) it is also opposite the Descendent (others), you put more focus on yourself and your own needs, wants, and desires and this can sometimes be at the expense of others. This aspect also accentuates the theme of beginnings so there is a strong likelihood that a new beginning of some kind will be initiated when the transit Sun is conjunct the natal Ascendant.

The Sun (I AM)

In a chart, the Sun indicates where you shine. It represents your own ego as well as your approach to self expression and how you realize your self. The Sun rules Leo; is in detriment in Aquarius; exaltation in Aries; and fall in Libra.

Keywords: authority, confidence, creativity, power, ego, father, hope, vitality, potential, dignity, joy, generosity, extravagance, pride, individuality, recognition.

For this reason, it is better to only tackle small, relatively easy goals to complete rather than long term goals.
